1) Study for the LSAT --> half an hour a day --> at least. I'm writing the LSAT on Dec 5, and I haven't studied a lick yet. I'm a huge procrastinator, and I'm not especially worried about the content, but I feel I should be putting more effort into this LSAT. This is a huge determinant to my future, after all. I have tried a practice LSAT test completely cold without studying: I managed a 164 to fit in the 92nd percentile. My goal is to get into the 95th percentile for the real thing. Gotta get start getting my study on. 2) Exercise more --> half an hour of cardio, half an hour of weights --> minimum. I've got horrible eating and sleeping patterns. These are things I'm not willing to sacrifice from my lifestyle. The least I could do is exercise more. What sucks though is right now I'm coming down with a pretty bad fever. I hope this is a precursor to a flu that becomes a precursor to H1N1. 3) Crack $6,000 this month in poker profits. I've been on a slide in the past few months. Making bad decision, untimely gambles. I need to rededicate to smart poker. I'm at ~$2,500 so far this month; just need to keep that up. 4) Finish the TYPE I EIGHTS in my Scrabble study. I've got about 1000 words to go. If I add 50 words to my cardbox a day, this should be attainable. 5) Grow a moustache for Movember. This one goes without saying. Since I've actually written down and itemized my goals, maybe I'll be more likely to get them accomplished. Wed, Nov. 11th, 2009, 12:00 am

first time i ever heard petechia: the nurse used it, pointing to my arm. 12 hours later, here i am, playing quack, got to lay down petechia, the 5th and last of my bingos to beat the duck 564-353. he won't get me back now as he usually does, as i am going to bed now! :) Tue, Nov. 10th, 2009, 03:01 am

Who wants some rating???? Mon, Nov. 9th, 2009, 07:49 pm
http://www.cross-tables.com/annotated.p See, I thought I'm playing all of these horribly and it turns out I lost like 25 equity points. That was about the number for most of the other losses I'm seeing. Maybe I did get a little unlucky. Mon, Nov. 9th, 2009, 09:43 pm

Sunday morning I drove up to Baltimore to pick up It was great to see the Raus again, as we've not gotten to spend nearly enough time together even though we're all Maryland residents now. I just wish Terry could find ways to enjoy her time down here more. The tourney venue was very spacious, and I especially appreciated having a separate large table for each board. With a division of eight players who had all faced each other many times, everything went smoothly and quickly. To cut to the chase, I went 7-0, clinching first place before my game against Stefan in the last round. It's my first ever undefeated tourney, and I'm grateful for that regardless of how it came. That being said, I really didn't do anything particularly good to earn the result. I didn't have that many bingos, didn't play many fancy words, and didn't even score particularly high in any of my games. I never broke 500 and had two games that were in the 450's and 460's, which had more to do with how badly they went for my opponents than how well they went for me. Perhaps the most telling stat was this: none of my opponents broke 400. They were all pretty pedestrian wins, almost all of which I had pretty much in hand halfway through the game if not earlier. Whatever. You take 'em how you get 'em. Don't get me wrong. I'm thrilled to finally score a perfect one-day tourney and to get my rating up near where I can qualify for the BAT Premier and Can-Am again. I just think that I've worked harder and played better in many 5-2 and 4-3 tourneys than I did in this one. The only game that was very competitive was this close and not particularly accurately played game against Mon, Nov. 9th, 2009, 03:50 pm
